Taking your content creation to the next level…

What happens to the content you should be creating when your business really begins to take off?

Your business is growing and that is great, right?!

But, whilst that really is brilliant, (and it really is!) there can be parts of that that feel uncomfortable and I do think this is something we don’t hear enough about.

We hear about 10k followers and 20k months and it can feel like people just landed there.

I guess that, maybe, sometimes they do.

But, as with anything, the process is just as important.

And, as you grow, you change, and one of the biggest areas of your business this can impact is your  content creation…

You are only headed in one direction!

You become more conscious of your voice.

You may become aware that everything you put out on social media reflects everything that your business is and the work that you do. You have created a platform. You have an audience. There is power there. There is fear too. You want to be sure that You are using it wisely. You may be fearful of making a wrong move.

You know what is just noise.

You understand the purpose behind posting. The posts that nurture your audience. Those with something powerful to say. And those where you are just posting for postings sake, keeping that reach up and reiterating what you may have been saying for a while. Some times there is no harm in that, but, you may feel as though it is taking you energy away from moving forward.

You become conscious of what you consume.

Even if you are always reflective about the views you encounter online, right now you may feel that if you read or watch certain views they will impact the way you shape what you are creating. If something doesn’t feel like it is moving you in the direction you want to head in, keep scrolling (or, in some cases, just hit mute.)

It is an opportunity to practise without pressure.

There can be nothing more intimidating that a schedule you have to stick to. This period of growth can provide a chance to free yourself from the rules around when or how you will show up and allows you to create in a way where you can work out what does and doesn’t feel good as you grow.

You learn to trust in change.

Once you accept that change is inevitable, everything becomes about using that to build something better. You can give yourself permission to take a break or switch things up and start again whenever, and with whatever feels right. Sticking with something because you think you have to will only leave you feeling stuck!

So, if you are feeling uncertain about what you should be sharing or lacking the inspiration you think you need to create, know that this is normal. Take it as the perfect opportunity to reflect and really get intentional about how you want your business to show up in the world and know that, when you do, you will eventually be able to create and share something even more powerfully aligned with everything your business is about to become!

And if you are looking to refresh and reconnect with your messaging as your business heads into its next phase, my 6 Week Step Up is the perfect way to get clear and strategic on the ways you show up through the content you create so that you can connect with your audience and potential clients and customers in increasingly powerful ways.
